The result? Some timeless jazz-funk tracks. One of them, of course, is Sun Goddess. Another, is this week's track of the week: Brazilica. * Due to a severe lack of time preparing the show this week, there is no A to Z. * News, features and views from the world of soul music, and the latest in real soulful house music.

* Music from Cameo, Kaldera, George Benson, Citrus Sun, Nuyorican Soul, Incognito and many more! * Track of the Week: A track which has recently been dug up as a sample on the storming Terri Walker track, This Is My Time. The original still sounds as fresh as ever, of course Dynasty - Adventures In The Land Of Music. * Grooveline A to Z: "W" - A personal choice, which I make no apologies for. Maurice White is this week's featured artist - a man who has had a finger in so many musical pies, and played a huge part in raising the profile and cause of great soul, funk and jazz music. This week, an example of his work with his own creation, Earth Wind & Fire, followed by an example of his solo work. All this rounded off with an example of his supreme production work with other artists. * News, features and views from the world of soul music, and the latest in real soulful house music. ANNOUNCEMENT: Blast 1386 audio problems
This Tuesday's broadcast of Grooveline may be affected by technical problems that Blast 1386 is currently experiencing. At 2:09am on Sunday morning, during an incredibly severe electric storm, the Blast 1386 antenna was struck by lightning. This resulted in some equipment in the studio being damaged. The effect of this is unbalanced poor sounding audio and a loud mains hum, on all outlets of Blast 1386 (AM radio, websteam/Sky and Patientline). Due to the bank holiday weekend, access to the studio isn't possible until Tuesday, so it is unlikely that the problem will be fixed before that afternoon. It is even possible that Blast 1386 is off air completely for an hour or so while repairs take place. Apologies to the listeners of Grooveline for any interruption to the show on Tuesday, or loss of enjoyment due to the audio quality. The show is repeated on Sunday night at midnight, by which time any problems should be resolved.
