ANNOUNCEMENT: Blast 1386 audio problems
This Tuesday's broadcast of Grooveline may be affected by technical problems that Blast 1386 is currently experiencing.
At 2:09am on Sunday morning, during an incredibly severe electric storm, the Blast 1386 antenna was struck by lightning. This resulted in some equipment in the studio being damaged. The effect of this is unbalanced poor sounding audio and a loud mains hum, on all outlets of Blast 1386 (AM radio, websteam/Sky and Patientline).
Due to the bank holiday weekend, access to the studio isn't possible until Tuesday, so it is unlikely that the problem will be fixed before that afternoon. It is even possible that Blast 1386 is off air completely for an hour or so while repairs take place.
Apologies to the listeners of Grooveline for any interruption to the show on Tuesday, or loss of enjoyment due to the audio quality. The show is repeated on Sunday night at midnight, by which time any problems should be resolved.
