Coming up on this week's show:

* We start off with the brand new single from the Reel People from their forthcoming album "Seven Ways To Wonder", plus Patrice Rushen, The Rebirth, Grey & Hanks, The Winans, Dennis Edwards and many more

* Technically, the show is now broadcast first on Saturday nights (although the Friday slot still exists for two weeks during the transition period). This means that the first proper broadcast of the show is Saturday 1 December, meaning we really should have a new album of the month. So we do! And that album is the brand new work from Sounds of Blackness member Ann Nesby, and "This Is Love". Starting this week, you'll hear two tracks per week from the album

* The Brazilian Bit this week once again features Ed Motta with an upbeat track called "Lustres e Pingentes"

* The Grooveline Garage this week welcomes one of the UK garage scene's stalwart producers and creators of the classic "Lovebug", amongst many other tracks. Brand new music from Ramsey & Fen this week, with "Into You"

* This week's House of Grooveline is a very soulful affair, with "Turn Around" from Mystery and Matt Early

* An artist that shamefully hasn't featured on many/any shows so far is Donny Hathaway, an artist that has inspired so many of today's soul artists including, of course, Frank McComb. The Grooveline Threeplay this week features three of Mr Hathaway's tracks

* Plus lots more music and gig news

ANNOUNCEMENT: Grooveline moves to Saturday nights

Will effect from this week, Grooveline will now broadcast on Saturday nights at 6pm until 8pm. This change has come about since the loss of live shows, which in itself is unfortunate but has meant I can be more flexible about when the show is broadcasting.

Early Saturday night seems to me like a perfect slot for a show like Grooveline, and negates the need for many people to try and struggle to listen at work on a Friday afternoon, like was the case before.

For a three week period, the show will broadcast three times a week - Friday, Saturday and Monday as follows:

Show 163 - Friday 23 Nov 2pm-4pm, Saturday 24 Nov 6pm-8pm, Mon 26 Nov 12am-2am
Show 164 - Friday 30 Nov 2pm-4pm, Saturday 1 Dec 6pm-8pm, Mon 3 Dec 12am-2am
Show 165 - Friday 7 Dec 2pm-4pm, Saturday 8 Dec 6pm-8pm, Mon 10 Dec 12am-2am

Friday 7 Dec will be the last Friday show, and Grooveline will hence be heard on Saturday and Sunday nights only.

All comments regarding the change are welcomed and appreciated. Email steve@groovelineonline.com

* The Brazilian Bit continues this week with a soulful track from Jorge Vercilo, called "Final Feliz"

* This week we introduce a new feature, which will showcase brand new tracks from a resurging form of urban dance music - UK Garage. It never ever went away and not only is there still a wealth of high-quality brand new material, but I also believe it is making a mainstream comeback (we'll review those words in 6, 12 months time!). I think it's only fair that we give part of the show over to this form of UK urban music, not just because I've still got a huge weakness for it. So, to launch the Grooveline Garage this week, we've got a brand new track from Sumeet, titled "You Blew It"

* Into Hour 2, and the House of Grooveline welcomes back Japanese composer Chieko Kinbara who is back with a brand new track, Time To Love. The mix you'll hear on the show also features the voices of Blaze. Sublime.

* The Grooveline Threeplay this week continues the Japanese feel with three tracks back-to-back from Casiopea. However, I've not yet been able to get my hands on any of their classic stuff, so we look at some of their more (relatively) recent material

* Plus lots more music and music news
