Coming up on this week's show: * Music from Roy Ayers, Jean Carne, Andreus, Frank McComb, Jamiroquai, George Benson and many more! * Our last* visit to our Album of The Month - Eleven, from Incognito. We'll play the opening instrumental, plus my favourite track of the album. Saving the best till last!! * The Grooveline Timeline ticks along to 1989. Three tracks back to back from Bobby Brown, Quincy Jones and Earth Wind & Fire take us out of the 80s. * Lots more besides, including me stumbling through between the songs after a hard night's drinking - only to test out England's new alcohol licencing laws, of course... (Cheers Dave, seemed a good idea at the time...) Amusingly, this week's show is also LIVE** on the Friday afternoon, so I can take your calls and messages throughout. Call 0118 967 5090, text 83648, or email via Blast1386.com * "Last" meaning last time this week, as it will be played again and again ** LIVE doesn't necessarily mean "alive" - not today, at least.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Music on Grooveline
From next week, 18 November 2005, there will be a slight shift in attention with regards to the music played on Grooveline. To ensure that the show continues to sound fresh from week to week, you will hear more new soul and quality R'n'B tracks from albums released in the last 12 months. Also, an attempt will be made to play more tracks that wouldn't normally be played - album tracks from artists and bands from the last three decades. All this will be mixed with the trademark selection of soul, funk, acid jazz and soulful house. Its not a marked change in direction for the show, just an attempt to ensure that you won't hear the same thing from week to week. I welcome your comments, as always.
